Spectrum Lockers Takes Holmes on Homes

Did you catch us on TV this weekend?

Spectrum Lockers was honored to be featured on the hit TV show Holmes Family Effect. This Canadian series features General Contractor, Mike Holmes, helping homeowners in need by completing amazing renovation projects to compensate for a poorly executed previous renovation.

As a team, we donated a set of lockers to the show, where Mike Holmes selected seven units of our Z-Tier lockers in colours Silver Grey (E0-02) and Pastel Grey (E0-015) to be a neutral element in the eye-catching yellow accented room. What makes this project unique is where these lockers live. Solid State Community Industries, located in Surrey British Columbia, is a business designed to help build co-ops and give equal opportunities to racialized migrant youth. It is through these mentorships and leadership duties they are able to change the world.

February 15th, 2021 was the air date of our collaborated episode, however, there were many bumps along the way due to Covid-19. Once all lockers were ready to be shipped from Spectrum headquarters to its final destination, Vancouver was shut down! This meant the project sat idle waiting for borders to be reopened for months, but sure enough everything worked out in the end and we were able to be part of a great story!

Overall, Spectrum Lockers was happy to assist on this build, benefiting the Solid State Community Industries. As Mike Holmes often says, “If you’re going to do something, do it right the first time.”
