Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects (JGMA) – is a Chicago based firm dedicated to community involvement and commitment of people’s lives through a dynamic organization of space.

JGMA needed a creative solution to meet their storage needs.  The small to mid-sized architecture studio operates under free-address, so no one has a designated desk or seat. This allows them to move freely among various working conditions, but it does create an issue of where to store personal effects and laptops securely at night. With such a creative studio office, JGMA needed a storage solution that was equally as creative.  Due to the customization capacity and unmatched aesthetic appeal Spectrum Lockers offer, Spectrum was an easy choice for JGMA.

CUSTOMIZATION CAPACITY

A decisive factor for JGMA was to be able to incorporate their trademark abstracted image onto the lockers. The abstracted image represents the founder of JGMA, and is a reminder of where they began, during the height of the great recession in 2010. Today, after becoming an award-winning studio, that image still connects JGMA to their roots and philosophy.

By partnering with Spectrum’s experienced team, JGMA was able to showcase their trademark abstract graphic.

They simply sent the applicable design files and our team made it a reality using precise CNC customization capacity. The pattern was engraved onto the front face of the white phenolic doors, exposing the black core.  This created an attractive contrast that will not fade with time or use, producing a long lasting, durable and easy to maintain storage solution. The durability of Spectrum is perfect for high traffic areas, such as JGMA’s eating space, and has generated positive feedback from the architects.
